About Me

In my life so far, I’ve been blessed with countless opportunities to do rich and meaningful work as a high school theology teacher (Yes, I’m that “Ms Hasser!”), college campus minister, pastoral writer, and epilepsy educator. And now, the best yet: As a Professional, Life-Cycle Celebrant®. I love what I am doing and look forward to celebrating ceremonies for many years to come!

I officiated my first wedding ceremony just four months after graduating from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute. Now my work is about crafting personal and meaningful ceremonies to mark life’s most important moments. Since 2007, I have had the privilege of creating ceremonies with over 800 couples from all walks of life, as well as with families who have lost a loved one, and with people going through a divorce. And then there is the pure joy of helping a family to welcome and celebrate a new child! I am deeply honored to be invited to commemorate these significant life moments with so many good people.

When I’m not preparing or officiating at ceremonies, I share my life with Rocky, my spouse of 30+ years. I enjoy a wide range of other interests and activities, including reading, growing vegetables (when the gardening “gods” cooperate), sipping a good cup of coffee, singing in my car and occasionally in a community choir, walking the neighborhood, meeting with friends and family for potluck dinners, going to the theatre, enjoying a good sunset, watching indie films, and more.
